Nachtwächter Silvester Dine-around

The Steyr night watchmen in traditional costume with halberd, lantern and horn await you on the terrace of the Orangery with a glass of red wine and fruit punch and non-alcoholic apple-spice tea.
Together with the Orangery's catering staff, two night watchmen will accompany your group of approx. 30 guests to the surprise locations in different orders:

Ascent to the parish church tower
with breathtaking views over the historic centre of Steyr, 228 steps
Appetiser in the Steyrer Kripperl
Performance of medieval craft scenes by the oldest still-performing rod puppet theatre (since 1850), 455 figures, Steyr dialect, playing time approx. ten minutes.
3 kinds of homemade bread: bacon/salmon/vegetarian spread
Steyrdorf soup in the Michaelerkeller
2-storey vaulted cellar from the 15th/16th century, barrel rooms, spherical paving, former wine cellar of St Michael's Church, presentation of the oldest existing film material of Steyr, medieval musicians 
Chestnut and celery cream soup; served with biscuits and a glass of Kamptaler Veltliner or mineral water
End of the year in the orangery in the castle park at 21:15
After saying goodbye to the night watchmen, all groups meet in the orangery. 
Main courses (of your choice) served in the Orangery:

• Strozzapretti pasta with braised pumpkin and sage
• Pan-fried salmon fillet on a bed of winter potato ragout and black salsify
• Guinea fowl supreme with sour cherry sauce, potato gratin, and vanilla carrots

Dessert:

• Apple and cream pancakes with homemade cinnamon butter cookie ice cream
