Perfect for those who are planning a cycling holiday on their own doorstep: A new e-bike pleasure tour leads in six to seven daily stages over a length of approx. 462 kilometres and approx. 5,000 metres of altitude from/to Steyr.
On the way, you will be able to explore the regional, cultural and culinary highlights at your own pace along rivers and waters.
The Traunviertel Tour will give you even more enjoyment if you divide the route into two loops:
The "KulTOUR Route" – Steyr, Schlierbach, Grünau, Gmunden, Kremsmünster, Bad Hall, Steyr (stages 1 to 4).
The "NaTOUR Route" – Steyr, Großraming, Hintergebirge, Windischgarsten, Hinterstoder, Molln, Steyr (stages 4 to 7).
The route is well marked, mainly on national cycle paths, from the Steyrtal valley through the Kremstal valley and the Almtal valley past the Traunsee lake to the town Gmunden, further to the transition of the Alpine foothills to the spa and spa town of Bad Hall, to the romantic town of Steyr and into the Ennstal valley, across the mountain range of the Reichraminger Hintergebirge and the Kalkalpen National Park to the holiday region of Pyhrn-Priel and back to Steyr. There are cosy rest areas and varied adventure stations to discover. Idyllic natural swimming spots in the rivers and lakes provide plenty of cooling.
