Laussa

Black counts, climbing centre and wind turbines

In the past centuries, there were several hammer mills along the Laussa stream. Even today, the hammer castles bear witness to the former prosperity of their owners, the so-called black counts.
The power of water has always been utilised. Laussa is known for its pioneering role in the areas of renewable raw materials and energy generation from sun and wind and has been a Climate Alliance member since 1995.

Worth experiencing:

  • Parish church, dedicated to St Mary
  • Peace Chapel - a jewel, newly built and consecrated in 2018
  • Collection of Stone Age artefacts at the municipal office
  • "Sauzahn" Laussa, THE climbing centre in the Enns Valley with over 180 routes on several rocks located in and around the village centre
  • Outdoor adventure pool

Enjoy the marvellous view at the back of the Sonnberg or try your hand at the stations of the motor skills park along the way.

"Values for a future worth living"

What are values? Values are principles according to which a society wants to organise life and live together.

Appreciation as a fundamental attitude towards life and creation represents a lasting value - a true "treasure" and is a milestone towards a future worth living!

"If you want to enjoy your value, YOU must give value to the world."
(Johann W. v. Goethe)
